MT 5th - 6th

Does anybody else find that when they shift from 5th to 6th that the lever sometimes catches in the middle. I notice a difference between when I shift in a relaxed fashion (it sticks) versus firmer ( don't notice any sticking).
It might be that the lever is trying to spring back towards neutral as it passes through the gate pattern.
I just want to know if anybody else has experienced this or do I have a problem looming.

Nope. Mine only sometimes sticks from 1st to 2nd. 2->3->4->5->6 is always smooth.

You were pulling the shift level straight down, weren't you? The best (and very smooth) way is to pull the level slightly away from you while you pull it down from 5th to 6th. Don't worry about it getting into reverse because it just won't. There is a lockout mechanism for the reverse.

none of my gears stick. i rarely ever hit the gate, only when i'm not really paying any attention at all. in fact, i cant even remember the last time i hit the gate.

i just push slightly away from me to go from 5th to 6th

the tsx tranny is really smooth and easy to drive.

Mine did this also (exactly) . Remedy - Got a Comptech short shifter and this is no longer an issue. You'll love it!

I used to sometimes go into 4th by accident, I've just learned to take it easy going 6th and lift the clutch a little slower to make sure everything is alright.

++

In the very first few days with the TSX, I was having the same problem going from 5th to 6th. Then I realized (relatively quickly) the method said above makes that shift the easiest on any MT shift I've ever done!!!
