I'm trying to customize the MID on my 2006 TSX but the vehicle will not recognize driver 1 or driver 2 from the key fob. When holding down the 'info' button the MID displays 'unknown' driver. I am using the keyless entry to unlock the doors but the MID will not display "driver 1" or "driver 2" like the owners manual says i should. Am i doing something wrong?

 

Um... did you tell it to remember the settings and actually set it to driver 1 or 2?

 

The memory seat controls are working fine when i push the button on the drivers door. The problem is the MID does not display "welcome driver 1" or welcome drive 2" and will not let me activate the custom screen because for this.

 

Try following the directions on the back of the key fob to link it with the car again. I had a similar problem that was resolved when I re-linked. Now the car says "Welcome Driver 1" like it should.

 

You might already know this but you have to press the lock and unlock button simultaneously on the key fob to link it with the car. Takes about a second for the red led to blink indicating a successful link.

 

Yeah, I had the same problem, and got it resolved.
