my car was making a obnoxiously loud screeching noise when i would back up and tap the brake.

i had no idea what it was - until my friend noticed what appeared to be a vertical crack on my rear rotor.

i took it in to acura for service - they told me my pads were worn out and the squeal was the worning out built in warning indicator.

weird. it only happened in reverse tho.

so anyway. i decided to replace my own brakes.

bought 2 new blank rotors from central auto parts (50 bucks piece), honda pads, some brake cleaner, some anti squeak gunk.

my friend helped me change the brakes. we had to borrow a caliper compressor and had to buy a impact screwdriver to take off the damn rotor.

problem fixed.
