Lisence plate...two bottom screws missing?!
Lisence plate...two bottom screws missing?!
Hi I just got plates on my new TSX and there are no holes for the two bottom screws for the rear plate to go. Am I mistaken or does anybody else have this problem? Thanks--

There is no second set of holes. You just bolt on the top two. Lots of cars these days are like this.
Here is a discussion about what to do about the vibrations the plate gives off when you shut the trunk.
I called Acura Client Services directly about this issue because mine didn't come with pads either and my salesperson had never heard of them. The gentleman at Acura Client Services promptly looked the matter up in his parts listing and said that yes the TSX's do come with two pads called "License Plate Protectors" and they should be included with the new car. He advised me to check back with the dealer to get them.
Checked with my service dept. and was told that there are no "Licence Plate Protectors".
I was told to try some tape in the back of the plate. What happened to the 2 little plastic tabs, that my old Accord had, that you could slip the plate into for support? Talk about skimping/cutting corners by the manufacturer to save a few cents!

I had the same rattling problem when i close my trunk, but i took it to the dealer and they fixed it for me by putting a foam piece that came with the car on the back of the license plate. Now it's fixed.
