Lip Spoiler Adheasion Question
For those of you that have installed the screw less lip spoiler, did you have any adhesion problems. I put mine on about a week ago and noticed that its starting to peel off of my trunk. While it is possible that I have an adhesion problem I think the main issue is that the BMWE3 trunk is flat while the TSX has a slight vertical curvature to it, thus the ends are peeling. While I could go the route of inserting screws into the corners I was wondering if anyone know of a good adhesive I could squirt under there with a syringe.
Has anyone else had this type of issue?
Ideas?

hmmm did you clean it before putting it on? (you should clean the area you are gonna put it on with alchohol before sticking it on) I would say carefully take it off the same way people debadge (dental flows and goo gone) and buy some 3m and stick it back on. Personally I wouldn't try drilling any holes.

Oh forgot that part of the thread, I cleaned it with alchohol before and used a 3m Prep sponge that has Xylon on it to soften the paint, I put it on the 3m strip and the trunk. The local body shop stated taht this is all that should be needed. its still sticky there but I need something alittle stronger.

I used to live there, I know what its like there at this time of year. Any form of plastic, glue, etc, becomes very pliable this time of year, especially if its left out in the sun like your spoiler might be.

i preped mine by sanding the bottom first then clean with alcohol...also wiped trunk surface with alcohol...applied 3m then installed it on the trunk..applied some pressure all over several times...its on there very good..i couldnt pry it off if i wanted to...iv'e had it on for a little over a year and i live in florida...it gets over 100f with the heat index alot...so i dont think the heat was the factor...i'm guessing your problem was from the prepping and applying...my advice would be to redo it..dont screw it on....!!!

Its a known problem for it to come off....
I had to re-do mine as the ends was coming off a little bit....with our cars we have to slightly curve it and stick it on...after some time it'll come off ... dont worry about it unless it really bugs you. Severe heat (esp in Phoenix ) and cold (where it can be in Toronto) the tape will not adhere and come off...

My friend iamhomin has the same problem but only on the left side. About six inches of the spoiler is coming off. He used 3M double sided tape to put it on his trunk.

theres a glue promoter that 3M makes. I never had a problem with my lip spoiler to need it. but I did a customers car with carbon fiber accents on the interior and used the promoter to make the double sided tape stick to sharp curves. worked like a charm.
