Lights Out???
Lights Out???
First off, I would search this, but don't even know where to begin, so please..bear with me. Left restaurant and drove home, five minute ride, all things fine. Leave five minutes later due to realizing I left my credit card behind and now there are no lights on the clock, radio, or temp control. Instrument panel is fine. Radio works. Heat works. Window controls are illuminated, as is ONE of my heated seat switches. No clue what happened or where to begin dissecting things. Any thoughts? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. If there's no lights on the LCDs only - than I've had this problem with my car. It's a problem with some kind of a transistor or condensator or smth like that, can't remember exactly an electrician took my panel off, replaced that part (20 minutes or so in time and 40$ in cash) and everything is well from then. He also mentioned that it's somekind of an illness of our car and after the replacement the problem should never come back.
Yes, it's a known issue. There's a TSB for it. https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-tsx-problems-fixes-128/acura-service-bulletin-04-021-audio-hvac-display-module-dim-dark-652565/ Since your warranty has expired, ask for goodwill consideration.

Thanks for the feedback. I did notice today, with it being quite sunny out, that when light was reflected against the clock and radio, I could just barely make out the time and radio station...but it is very, very dim...nothing like it's supposed to be. And no, I do not need to adjust the dimmer control. I would like to think I'm smarter than that, lol. Which makes me wonder though...are they out or is something else to blame? Calling the dealership tomorrow, appreciate the help guys.

This is covered under a warranty extension up to 7yrs/100K miles. Here is the current S/B.... http://photos.imageevent.com/astrobo...sb/B04-021.pdf
