ok i tried a search on this and couldn't find anything.

ok so you get out of the car, then lock it.
upon returning to the car you unlock the door, then open it.
when i open my door, the "your lights are on" chime goes for a second or so.

happens everytime i lock the car then unlock and open the door. Does not happen when i just open and close the door.
and no, my lights are not on

i am just curious about this one as it really isn't that big of a deal just wondering if anyone else's car does this. hope i explained that ok

I think it's just the security system chiming at you.

Sit in the car and do it. Does it still chime?

ahhh nevermind

i just figured it out kinda based on what you said

when unlocking the doors it makes the lights flash twice, i just open the door while it is still flashing causing the "your lights are on" chime

yeah. It kind of sounds like it is saying

"Hell-lo"

 

It's normal. If you open the door right away after unlocking the door, it will make the "lights on" sound. If you wait a little longer, it won't.
