i changed mine this is what u do, when i bought my car under the mat i had a long peice of plastic about 6-7" and on the end it is wedged a little bit. im not sure if you have that but if you dont go to acura and they should have it. they are the 1's that actually helped me do it. now underneath where the licence plate light is, wedge the peice of plastic into the corner, until the clips come out, i was scared at first that i would break it but dont worry it wont crack, u do that to each side and your good to go. dont know if that helps. but it worked for me i changed mine 2 blue

Yes. You're going to have to remove the trunk liner (at least just the three top screws and the two rubber moldings) to get at the back of the plate lights. There are clips that keep the light covers in place, preventing them from coming out of their holders. Once you push the tabs on the inside of the clips (under trunk liner), then you should be able to remove the covers from the outside....I think

no kidding.
how hard is it to unscrew and remove 3 clips?
it literally takes me less than a minute to do.

and it's the right way to do it.

I don't see the problem here.

do you not have a phillips screw driver?
if not, you shouldn't be considering any car mods.

turn the screws, pop out the clips.
peel down the top half of the trunk mat thing.
change bulbs.
reverse the clip procedure.
done, total, in less than 5 minutes.

it's honestly not hard at all.

don't be so scared of plastic clips, don't bother messing something up.

yeah, it's a bit tricky at first.

they go in at an angle it seems, it takes a couple times to get the
hang of it so it's easy. just try them both ways, and give an angular
push, a light one. you'll hear it snap into place on one of the trys.

after a couple minutes you'll get it and it'll be easy from that point on.

like riding a bike.
