Hey guys. I was driving last night and I accelerated my TSX pretty hard, then suddenly all of the on the dashboard came on (VSA, light, maintenance required.) After all the came on, the car lost a significant amount of power (took a bit more time to accelerate.) The car may have been in limp mode? After this situation I parked the car at home, and one hour later I turned on the car and it started revving to around 3K rpms. Moving on to the next day, I started the car and that revving issue went away but the car shut off every time the car started to roll. What could possibly be the issue(s) Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

 

I also have an 04 TSX and have had 3 times now where the car stalled on me. Not completely sure, but believe it has happened after a hard acceleration. I mentioned it to a family member and they said it might have something to do with the catalytic converter? Not sure if this is the case. Let me know if you find out what the outcome is. Thanks

 

Our 04 started dying at stop lights. The oil pump chain had jumped and wasn’t sending oil back up at right time. This happened after 300k, right after 2nd timing replace.

 

check engine light indicates codes are set. get them and post.
