interpreting SRS code - 2004 TSX

The SRS light has come on in my 2004 TSX (with 270K miles).

I jumpered the 4 and 9 pins on the underdash plug, and got the following code:

5 long flashes, 4 short flashes
3 long flashes, 1 short flash
5 long flashes, 4 short flashes

I think that means I have a 5-4 and a 3-1, but I can't find anywhere online that tells me what those mean, or if I have interpreted those correctly for this year of TSX. I've looked at the thread on the RSX board, and these codes don't seem to sync with the options listed under TSX.

The two Acura dealers want to charge $80 to read the codes, and then maybe (if it's seat belt related) it would be a lifetime warranty fix. I at least want to know what the codes are before I take it in, or better yet, I'd rather fix it myself.

Thanks,

31 is a fault in the driver's side airbag inflator circuit; increased resistance, open, short. There are subcodes to this code which may not show w/ manual code detect approach.

54 is failure of the SRS unit.

Sounds serious. I would try the reset procedure before doing anything.

Is wiring damage possible due to impact or corrosion?

good luck
