I cant get those tips off!

Hey guys, i'm having a problem getting the screws off my oem tips.
I rly want to get my s2k ones on =/

i doused the areas with wd40 and every time i put pressure on them, they slip. Im afraid to put more pressure onto it cuz every time i slip, im stripping them =(

is there any easy way to get those out?

um.

you have to loosen the bolt on the bottom of the tips.
I think it's a 10mm bolt.

then they just slide right off.

I put S2K tips on a month or so ago.

I think that's what he's trying to do. The bolts on mine are so rusted that they almost fall apart when I try unscrewing them. He's probably having the same issue

oh yeah.
sorry, didn't think of rust and stuff.

I think everyone has an '08 garage queen sometimes, lol.

There's special sprays and stuff for loosening bolts right?

A very long handled socket wrench is a good idea.
You have plenty of clearance down there to use one.

or stick a hollow pipe on the end of the socket wrench for an extension.

just ideas.

i had the same issue. i bought a-spec tips off someone, tried to replace them onto my car since i got a kit, and the bolts heads just twisted off b/c of all the rust/salt/dirt from probably a little over a year of driving.

i have some snap-on reverse drill bits. hopefully they can be extracted. i just haven't had a chance to do it.

Drill out that 10mm head bolt. Replace with new bolts.
