lets figure out this door lock rattle

So I went to the dealership because I was sure that I had the issue where the front driver and passenger door seals tick and creak. I have been hearing this sound since I bought the car. However, after the dealership successfully performed the TSB for this problem (shinetsu grease and special tape) the sound persisted. I finally figured out that the noise I"m hearing (not a rattle, but more a of plastic rubbing sound over rough road) is actually the front door locks rubbing against the funnel shaped plastic housing that they're in. I've done a search here on the forums, but I'm wondering if anyone has eliminated this annoyance either by sanding in the inside of the funnels that door locks fit into, sanding down the sides of the door lock fobs, or has just taken apart their doors and tried to put some isolation foam around the locks so that they don't move so much when the car goes over bumps? I've taken my doors apart many times and the locks are on this flimsy metal piece that wiggles around in the door. Anyone had success with any of these door lock noises?

Yes, I also thought it was coming from the door locks and if you hold them it even appears to go away. Nonetheless, this didn't fix it. The dealer put some felt tape on the inside of the door where the rubbing rattling was and it went away. They also found another 'rattle' in the b-pillar due to a misalignment. Bring it back to the dealer and have them look a little closer on the test drive.

Do you happen to know which part of the door they put the felt on?

Sorry I don't. It wasn't the first time my dealer had this issue and it's not the TSB issue, but it does sound somewhat common.

I had the noise coming from both the front doors and the moon-roof. The dealer applied some silicon and the noise is gone from the driver-side door and the moonroof. But there is still noise coming from the front passenger-side door.

I also hear a sharp metallic noise coming from the front passenger seat (or somewhere therein) when going at some speed over rough surfaces. Anyone knows about this?

Thanks for the input. I actually bought the grease as well and had my weather seals replaced. I think our problem is just cheap padding/vibration dampening. I'm sure if we all just bought some closed cell foam and dynamat type material, we could just kill all the door rattles this way.
