does anyone know how to get behind the part of the center console that has the two flip up doors right above the 'not an ashtray' part? I have something rattling behind those flip up doors and I want to pull them out to check it out...but certainly dont want to break anything. Anyone know the trick to pulling that part of the console out?

 

Open Door stick both your hands in the cuby make fists inside the cuby so that they are wedged in there and pull out.


That's how i got mine out.

 

removing the first larger compartment will be easier, all you have to do is just yank out of place (no screws to remove), its help on by plastic sliding tabs.

Removing the not ashtray section, four screws will need to be removed. Two on the top (which will be visible once you remove the large compartment) and two on the lower part, which are not initially visible, due to the shifter plastic coverage area hiding them.
