How Do I Take Apart This Area?

As the title states, how do I take out the area circled in red? If it's difficult, would it be easier to take apart the area underneath/beside it? If so, how would I go about doing that?

The reason I ask is I have a HORRIBLE rattle coming from that area when I get on the gas...it's so embarrassing whenever I have passengers in the car It sounds like something is loose inside, and I don't have the time to take it to the horrible dealers in SoCal...

Thanks!

use the screw driver.. FLAT one..

It will come out.

BUT, use a thin but not THAT thin cloth and put it on the flat screw driver to prevent scratches. (Hope u understand what i m saying for this part) @@

I don't know about getting that piece out, but the one directly above it, that holds the switches, comes out fairly easily. you can gently pry it off (switches and all) and maybe get your hand behind there. use the method with a small screwdriver and cloth, or wrap the screwdriver in electrical tape.
