You don't want different grip levels front and rear. It makes for very unpredictable handling which can get you into trouble.

Doesn't matter, they're still going to behave differently.

, i cant afford 4 new tires, i mean, maybe in extreme cases i see your point, but the wanlis are far from bald, and this is only summer driving, and avoiding hazardous weather conditions as well...

s-1088, no reputable site has them, ive heard there really shitty....even rondog told me to change them, im just looking for a easier way out.... i mean i can see how handling wont be the same since the front would grip better, but its not like the back dosent grip either ..

are you saying that if my fronts are performance and grip real well, and the rears suck, you will oversteer easily (tail happy) and not have much fun with an oak tree.

But if your rears grip alright still, then it'll be ok?

I'm back, lol.

What happens is your tires will grip differently under different conditions. Your fronts might be grippier under cold conditions and your rears might grip better when it's warm. They also might handle differently in the wet or on sand. You might have understeer at one corner and oversteer at the next.

How about selling your rears and buying a new set of four.

I feel ya man, it sucks. I have the worst luck in the world for nails in tires but I'd never replace a tire with a different make or model.

$400 on a set of tires is better than wrapping your car around a tree somewhere.
