High Beam problem?

Tried the search and didn't see this issue...

so I just replaced my High Beam bulbs today... but for some reason.. now they won't come on when I have my headlights on?

I can see them working with the headlights off and if i just flash them high beams.

anyone come across this issue before? is it because the bulbs I got may be the wrong wattage? got em off fleabay.. the are 100W H1's

Thanks!

Put the originals back and see if they work OK. SWAG: 100 W bulbs may pop a circuit breaker (if there is one in the system). The stock ones are 55 watt units.

OK, apparently there is a circuit breaker which opened when the 100 watt bulbs drew almost twice the current of the stock bulbs. And it looks like it resets itself when it cools off. Thank the circuit breaker because it saved you from having to put out a smoldering wiring harness ... or worse, a smoldering car.
