Help! Shock? Strut?

front left side of my 04 has been making strange noise and bouncing more..so i took to dealer to get checked out. The guy told me the shock is bad. leakage they will have to order me new one. Now that I got home just saw the paperwork says verdict is LEAKING LEFT FRONT STRUT. NEED TO REPLACE STRUET-PARTS ORDER.

my question is..i know shock leaks.. but does strut leak?

why he said SHOCK broken but on the paper typped STRUT?...

.if it is either shock or strut..do i need to insist that they replace both? and will I need alignment after replacing both or either one?.....

Two different expressions for the same thing. All is well.

Moving to Problems and Fixes now.

Yeah, I think I have the same thing. I ran over some road debris and now my tires rattle when coming to stop sometimes. I have 500 miles. Is this covered by warranty or do you have to pay for the fix?

your tire rattle? or your steering wheel rattle when u stop? if u hit a debrie hard when braking. u may warp the rotor. resulting in steering wheel rattle when trying to stop. it would be covered

no my tire rattles like the struts are blown or something. But the springs still seem to be fine.

and yes. its absolutely under warranty. unless u modified something the it would void it. but they anticipate daily wear and tear. so it will be under warranty
