I just recently joined and I'm looking for some help. 1) My glovbox latch wont open my glovebox. Is this covered by the manufacturer's warranty? 2) I live in NYC and I'm looking for a good mechanic that deals with acuras. Anyone know of one?

I don't know about the mechanic part for you, but I have an idea for the glove box. When I got my TSX, I couldn't get into the glove box either. Try pushing the glove box up/in just a bit with your thumb while you pull the latch towards you with your other fingers. Works like a charm for me.

 

I agree with Apollo1106,
I believe that glove box latch is meant to be a right-hand, thumb, and finger open. Press the right-hand thumb on the glove box door just to the left of the latch handle and simultaneously use your fingers to lift the latch. Attempting to just lift the latch (without the thumb pressing) will make the glove box very hard to open.
Alternately, you could use one hand to press on the door and the other hand to operate the latch.

 

I no longer can open the glove box. When I had my car serviced by my acura dealer I showed it to the service manager. He is now ordering me a new glove box.
