Heater Switch
Heater Switch
Hi,
I think they removed all the old threads.
I remember clearly that there was a thread for replacing the light bulb in the heater seat switch.
Would u guys post the instruction again please?
Thanks!

The old threads haven't been removed. Its the search function that we're still working on. In the meantime a good way of finding old threads is to use google seach but preface the search terms with "site:acurazine.com"
yes it is just clipped in, but it takes some serious yanking on to get it out the first time. once you've taken it out a few times it becomes fairly easy. the way i got mine out the first time was to open the lid for the 'not an ashtray' compartment and yank up from where the panel and the lid meet. then work your way back towards the arm rest. be careful around the cup holder. if the lid isnt positioned correctly it gets kinda tricky.

Just changed my lights
Thanks for the links and the instructions. Only one was burned but I went ahead and changed both switches lights since they are a pain to get to.
A tip on removing the console. Take a pair of channel locks and an old terrycloth towel. Use the towel to keep the teeth of the channel locks from marking the plastic. You can grab the console in the narrow section right behind the parking break with the cup holder lid partially open and pull. It popped right up. I couldn't get a grip on the thing any other way.

Has anyone had any issues with the Radio Shack bulb being too hot or two bright? (Or overloading any circuits?) I ask because this bulb is 60mA, and the original Honda/Acura part appears to be 40mA. (For a Canadian source of a bulb that appears to be the same as the Radio Shack one, see here.)
