Heated Seat Button Light

Hi everyone,

Have an 06 TSX that i bought this year, havn;t really had nice weather yet here to start messing around with it much or taking things apart, etc.

Was just wondering if anyone would know where to start if the heated seat button light went out. If there is a diagram for removing that centre console somewhere that would be great!

Thanks

the light on my 06 tsx has been out and since the heater still works I have not made any attempt to fix it.

Just do some searches for a short shifter install. I found quite a few guides which show you how to remove the center console. This link is a video that shows someone removing his (I'm not sure if he's a forum member here, but he is one on the other TSX forum):

Alot of guides suggest using tools to carefully pry up the center console. Since I have a 6MT TSX, I found it easy to do with just my hands. I "pinched" the front end by putting one finger in the shift boot, and just yanked up carefully. I then opened the cup holder lid half way and stuck my fingers down the gap and yanked up. With both ends loose, I just worked my way toward the middle.

There are two clips at the very very front. Then there are two clips on both sides of the shifter (one at its front, and one at its rear). The last two are by the cup holder (with one behind the parking brake lever).

I don't use my heated seats as much, and the light for the driver-side button died on me anyway. I was able to get it replaced under warranty since it happened before my warranty expired.
