HandsFreeLink not working

I have a 2006 Acura TSX with Navi. In the last few days the HFL has been going in and out and now completely won't work. I ran the diagnosis on the Navi and the pic here shows the HFL is in red. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd like to avoid going to the dealership. Is this the HFL unit that's bad or maybe just a bad fuse? Anyway none of the HFL buttons on the steering wheel work either. They are totally dead. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

HFL red

I'm late to your thread but ... you might be better off without the HFL working. A dealer service rep recently told me anecdotally about a known issue where HFL causes a parasite drain on the battery when the ignition is off and and car locked. I've run a couple of batteries down leaving the trunk lid open or something, but noticed that sometimes my phone is still "connected" to HFL when the car is completed locked and put to bed.

I haven't heard of the results of the following class action suit, still looking. https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2...-lawsuit.shtml

Look up the part number on ebay. People sell these from $50-$90 pulled out of junker tsx's. The problem is, even though they often claim they've been "tested," you're equally likely to get one that has the same parasitic drain issue. It's probably not worth exploring unless the seller has a solid return policy. I'm speaking from having this exact experience. However, there is good news if this guy is still around. Someone here on the forum has an oven that allows you to do a solder reflow for the bluetooth unit. I did this fix (you have to mail your module to him), and it's been working flawlessly now for going on three years. Cost me $45 plus shipping at the time. Not sure why more people don't do this, but I suspect they just don't know about it. More in this thread.
