Question Grinding/Popping noise coming from behind engine

2004 TSX AT w/ 126K miles

So today I tried to install my fog lights, and got all the wiring throughout the engine compartment (to the lights and to the fuse box), but still have to wire the switch. Additionally, I took out my resonator and put in a K&N filter.

Now when I drive my car, there is a grinding/popping noise coming from somewhere in the engine bay. The noise kind of sounds like something is grinding or popping (its hard to describe). The weird thing is that it does it while braking and about to stop. Also right after I start accelerating from a stop. It doesn't make the noise when I'm going 10mph+. The noise sounds like it's coming from the back of the engine bay, almost right behind the petals.

When I bought the car about 6 months ago, I took it to midas and they said that the struts needed to be replaced soon. Could this be something in the struts? It seems like it does it when the engine torques a lot, so could it be something with torque? I'm so lost here.

Anything helps!

I have the same thing, exactly the same way... as you start to accelerate and brake, the pop/clunking sound. I actually just came bac from a friend mechanic. They found nothing wrong visually, he did remove the right axles as I thought it was comin from the rght side. Engine mounts were fine.

Anything else to check ?

BTW my car is stock 05 @ 160K

Same problem

Hey guys, I'm having the same thing happen. At first I thought wheel bearing. But it just happened again and I can feel it in the break pedal. Feels like it's coming from near the feet, where it's originating idk. I also have the VSA light and caution sign with exclamation showing on gauge. Not sure if it's related. Did anyone find the fix or Prob?
