Funny noise when shutting down.

Hey guys, I just got my 05 Black TSX. So far I love the car but just have a question about when I'm shutting down the car. The gauges needles seem to make a dragging noise when turning off the car and they are returning to their default position. I don't know if this is normal as I have never heard this in any car. Could this be a sign that the gauge cluster was changed??

Can someone please tell me if they hear the same sound when they shut down their car. I still have a week to bring back the car. I would like to if this is the case.

I've never heard this on my car, nor have I heard it been mentioned in the forums before.

Do you think that the gauges were changed in order to roll back the mileage. It seemed kind of low when I bought it. It's an 05 with 59000 km's which is around 37000miles.

Eh, it's not insanely low. My 04 only has 54000 miles. I don't drive much anymore. Maybe just ask the dealership to take a look? Sorry I'm not of more help. I've just never seen this question here before so there's no info on it that I know of.

Cool, thanks alot. Just a bit worried since I've also never heard of this type of issue before and I've driven probably 50 different cars.

i have the exact same problem. Fuel needle has that 'dragging' noise too. I went in for warranty service and they will replace it for free. i am just waiting for the item to be in stock. This is coming from a 2005 with 56k miles.

wow I've never heard of this problem. I'll check into this. As for the low mileage, 59k is not too low for an 05, I got my 06 last july with like 38k on it
