Front-driver door lock button works opposite

2005 TSX 6MT with 57K miles (bro recently purchased)

Appears front-driver door lock button on door panel itself works opposite. Based on research, I suspect this front-driver door lock actuator was replaced in past. The button top face itself has diagram in correct position, but the electric function works opposite.

Can anyone explain or point in the direction of how this could happen? I'm guessing do to improper repair, but want to have an idea on what should I look for.

Thanks.

The switch may have been installed inverted or someone modfied the wiring. It may be possible for internal switch fault to cause this, but seems doubtful.

No way to know but remove door panel and inspect.

If you don't have a shop manual, suggest purchasing one. Check ebay seller automanualsource for a $21.99 manual. That's what I bought and I've found it to be very easy to use.

good luck
