Yes. I have noticed this twice. Not necessarily a grinding "sound" but a grinding feeling in the brake pedal. Both time while turning at a very slow speed... like turning into a driveway. What is this?

Ok. This happened to me again this weekend. I called the Acura service dept, and they seem to think that its the anti-lock breaks coming on. When I explained that I was going less then 10 MPH, he told me it could be the road surface. So, with that nonsense being said, I'm making an appointment to have my car looked at.

I get that everyday. The only thing I could link it to is that it happens after the car has been sitting (cold start) with the e-brake applied. I move about 15 feet, barely squeeze the brake pedal, and I feel a grinding sensation up front. It only happens for 1/2 a second. I know that the e-brake only locks the rears up so, I have no explanation for this. I have not taken it to the dealer because it is so difficult to reproduce. My car has 8,000 miles and it drives fine, so I just live with it.

Grinding Sound
I get the sound after starting the car after it's been sitting a while. I notice it when I'm in drive and have moved forward a short distance. As best as I can tell it's the ABS system priming/purging/whatever. I've got a 2000 Accord that makes a sound under similar conditions when the ABS system tests itself. The sound in my TSX seems louder. Was the pump or whatever's causing the sound placed poorly or does this indicate a larger problem? The car's runs fine, but I'm not used to the sound.
