Angry Flying rock hit my windshield!!

So i was on the freeway today..late for school due to stupid traffic..finally got out of the traffic so I started hittin 85 mph. The stupid ass car in front of me must have run over a huge f'in rock cuz that thing flew right at me...
Neways.. now i got a goddamn minor crack on my windshield...top middle part.. about an inch in diameter

Is there any kind of adhesive material that could restore this minor crack...I do not wanna pay the dealer a shit load of $ to get it replaced. Thanks

Not sure about CA but in a lot of states, glass is covered 100% by insurance.

Just had my windshield replaced last week. A tiny pebble caused a 6 inch crack in the windshield. At first it was about an inch and then it grew. Try and get yours fixed right away. Every place I called said they couldnt repair the glass unless the crack was smaller than a quarter. I got a new windshield from acura installed for 545 dollars. I had a $300 deductible so that helped some! Good luck with yours.

Yes, I would agree to get it fixed as soon as possible if you are not going to get the entire thing replaced. Especially if it's not garaged, the change from heat/cold will result in a long crack. My old corolla had a crack about 1/2" in diameter, had it filled by a local windows shop, and it never got any bigger. Insurance usually covers these minor things as well so I would check into your insurance.

I wonder if Acura will carry the original honda windshield?? does anyone know?
My mom's car got a crack on her windshield and we went back to m-benz to fix it...they replace a new m-benz windshield for us. Similarly, it happen to my sis too...but vw just replace a aftermarket one for her.
they are probably the same, just different brand...but we feel like having the original brand on our car's better. just my 2cents

Give your retail agent a call or read your policy and see what your deductible is for glass coverage. I would assume you carry comprehensive coverage so you are cool on the repair. The only catch is that the repair may be lower than the $500 deductible you have to pay the insurance company so you may be out of pocket on this one.

Peace!!

Samething happend to me last week. Insurance paid for an OEM replacement with no deductible.

I'm not sure how much they paid for it but I called safe-lite for an aftermarket quote and they wanted $355.

Acura carries the OEM glass with the "Honda" printed on it. It's the only place to get the same glass.
