First Generation 2004-2006 TSX Headlight Replacement

I have not shown where every plastic grommet/screw is located. You should know that they are very brittle and will most likely be all broken. You will be less frustrated if you buy a box of replacements BEFORE you begin.
Search for TSX bumper clips on Ebay. There are thousands of auctions and usually you can get 15 clips for $5-10. Unless you can't sleep at night the generic clips are just fine versus Honda clips.

Avoid touching the bare bulbs with your fingers at all costs! Use gloves or a paper towel if you can't hold it by the base.

Pictures are mostly in order of removal.

I bought Philips 4300k D2S bulbs off of Ebay for $30 each.

It took me about 3 hours to replace the bulbs with taking pictures.

Jesus, you have to remove the front bumper to replace the headlights?! This looks like a ton of work.

Unless someone knows a trick then yes it's the only way I could see to replace them.

In hindsight I should have replaced the corner marker bulbs while I had it out.

The high beam and blinkers you can probably get to without bumper clip removal.

When your TSX gets pink eye get ready for fun!

You have to take off the front bumper to replace these headlights??? If that's the case and after looking at all these pieces to remove I might as well pay $55 at Acura n have them do it! Crazy and I commend you for having such patience...

I miss the days of the old cars. You only had to unscrew the headlight, put new headlight in, and then screw it in. Less than a few minutes each and you are done.

I agree, but this thread is confusing. It appears that the OP went through this just to replace the bulbs. Bumper removal is not necessary to replace the bulbs, only to replace the housing(s). I've never had to do it, but there's another active thread on HID bulb replacement that outlines the procedure. Also, I'm sure a DIY video is available on youtube.
