Engine Problem???
Engine Problem???
I first noticed the car idling weird when I first cranked it the other day then it stopped making the odd shake and ran fine, then I shut it off where it usually immediately turns off it still had this little but of shake to it after turning the key off. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

It does it with or without the a/c on.....i have had the car a while and it just started this problem.
^^I noticed this whenever I pull the car out and turn it off shortly after having started it. The engine does need time to warm up and you have a fairly rich charge running the motor until it reaches operating temperature. Is this what you are experiencing?

That is similar to what is happening...but it just started this and even if it runs for a while (at least 20 mts) it still has the shaking when I turn it off.

Has your fuel mileage changed much?
Sounds like a dead or dying motor mount. Easy test... have someone rev the motor (just a couple of bursts) and watch the motor. If it is a violent movement, the you'll want to have your motor mounts looked at. Otherwise, you may need to have Acura look at it as it almost sounds like a timing issue.

It is almost to the 40K mark. My MPG has remained the same. What would have caused a motor mount to go bad?

Sometimes motor mounts go bad, sometimes a new driver to a manual tranny can aid them going, etc etc.
Again, that simple test will tell you. Movement is okay, but a lot of movement is the telling factor. And this "long, rough shutdown" is merely being transmitted through the frame.
Not a single answer, but a few things to look at.
