This is my first post, though I have been reading this forum for a few months now. I have been trying to input as much info on here as possible before making a post, but at times it's overwhelming. I recently bought a 04 CG AT and although it has low mileage (19k) my time frame on the warranty is almost up. Hence, anything I feel to be abnormal at this point I am trying to have addressed. The best word to describe what I'm hearing is a "whining" noise as I come to a stop. A little more prominent if I accelerate up to 10-15 mph and let the car roll to a stop, seems I can pinpoint it better this way. The car is 100% stock, well maintained, and did not have this problem when I purchased it. I know that it's not much to go off of, but I'm just looking for feedback before I waltz into the dealership and they tell me that it's normal. Apologize for the long post, any info would be much appreciated.

I went to dealer. I was trying to drop off my car, but they asked me to wait for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, they pulled my car up and told me they checked other TSXs and they have the same whining noise.....

I doubt but that's their answer..... I think there is something wrong with the power steering pump. Try to move your steering wheel and the whining noise goes away from time to time....

 

I am not one to take advise from simply because I am not mechanically inclined, but in your first video it sounds more like a howl than a whine. Mine on the other hand is more noticeable as I come to a stop rather than at idle. When I first bought this car it sounded way more aggressive at start-up and now it just sounds like crap, idles funny and sounds cheap, per say.

I really like this car and it's a blast to drive, compared to what I coming from, but there are way to many odds and ends that are annoying.
