Question engine noise in cold whether

well i tried searching but couldn't find any similar cases.
so here goes, I live in GA, and just recently tempterature fell dramatically. This morning it was mid 40's. So i start my car up, warm up for a minute or so. and I'm going easy on throttle until engine warms up. When I was stopped at the light, about 10 minutes driving, and the engine was at normal temp, I feel this vibration which felt like AC engaging vibration, keep in mind only thing i had on was my seat heater. So I'm thinking it will go off, but it doesn't!!!! the entire time that I was stopped it was vibrating like crazy, only when i was moving i stopped noticing it.

Am I the only one who goes through this? or is it quite normal?

if you can find a link to a post that will be nice also.

me too~ i've been noticing the vibration too, even if the engin temp reach the normal level, when i stop the car at the red light, the steering vibrates a bit, and it's a lot like if the A/C was on or something (i had my climate control on 74C while it's like 40C outside, and i had my heater seat on). i tried to tunr off my Climate control, but the vibration didn't stop.......anyone know why? and what causes this vibration?

Even with climate control on at high temperatures, the a/c compressor still engages to avoid condensation from forming in the cabin.

Correct. Simply press the AC button so you see that A/C is off, and that will fix it. In cold days you don't really need it unless it is humid.

Climate control will always engage the AC.
I think many people are not aware of this. In the non-NAVI version, with climate control on, AC does not show On or Off on the display, although it is ON.
