emission system light came up, but the code is an tranny code
so i got my transmission replaced at around 43k miles at an Acura dealership it was cover under warranty, after the first 5k miles i notices there is something wrong with the new transmission it wouldnt allow me to go above 5000rpm and the whole car feels like it drags if i try to go above 5000rpm, so i bought it back to the dealership for the them to check it out, they told me it is normal for an 4 cylinder car. After an couple of months the car right now has 56k miles on the engine, and just today the emission system light came on, along with the check transmission light, and VSA light, so i pull over and turn the engine off, and then start engine again the emission system light was still on, i bought it to an shop to get the code read, and the mechanic told me it was an tranny code, and it said "input shaft intermittent speed sensor". I know the car is out of warranty but will i still be able to cover under the warranty bc the transmission is still relatively new and maybe is their fault for not installing the transmission correctly?

I would fight that for sure. If this was due to something they neglected to take care of while it was under warranty and hoped that they can play it off like it they cant' do anything now cuz it is out of warranty, that is BS. I've seen similar situations at Mercedes Dealerships and as long as you know how to position the issue, i think u can get wut u want.

About this Repair: Clutch Assembly Replacement for your 2006 Acura TSX
Recommendations
We recommend that the flywheel always be resurfaced when the clutch is replaced.
Why this happens
A failed clutch could either slip or shudder, or be unusually difficult to depress.
Engine oil or transmission fluid leaks can damage a clutch. When replacing a clutch, any leaks should be diagnosed and repaired to avoid recurring problems.
Recommendations
The transmission input shaft should be inspected and replaced along with the clutch if it is defective.

This is a 6mt correct? I think it's unlikely a screwed up install would cause this. I think the more likely scenario is that there was something wrong the transmission they put in. Do you know the background on the replacement tranny?

still plays with cars
I'm just guessing on this one: I've heard that the engine is limited to 5k rpm with the tranny in neutral to keep idiots from blowing the engine with no load at full throttle.
Maybe there is wiring between the tranny and ECM that is not connected because the mechanic forgot it or crushed it.
