Hello im new to the site and I need some help from the team here.
I have 04 tsx and Ive put a sub mtx thunder 9500 RMS Power Handling 1000 watt whit MTX TA92001 2 Ohms 2000 Watts RMS amp whit 1 farad. Know it seem that when I put the volume up (15) and increase the bass boost a lill the light, inside and outside are blinking. Im planning to put also the pioneer avic-n3 I don’t won’t to damage any electrical systems. Is there a way to solve this issue?

I'm sure the stock alternator wasn't designed to put out 2KW of extra power. I bet you'll need a higher rated one.

 

You'll need a high output alternator and maybe even a deep cycle battery depending on if you ever want to listen to your beats with the car off.

 

I agree with that -- it's the alternator (battery doesn't provide power while the engine is running, I believe). The stock alternator is 105 amps and, if I remember from JTso's pulley write-up, about 14.35 volts max. That's about 1,500 watts max.

You need a high-current alternator. Moderators, this thread might be better served in the "Audio Visual" section.

 

do you guys know a model of high output alternator that will fit for the tsx 04
