Dust inside radio

I have A LOT of dust behind the screen for the radio. I have tried blowing it out using compressed air but couldn't figure out where I need to point to get the air inside the screen. I have held down all of the buttons beside the screen and tried to blow in some air but didn't work. Anyone know how I can clean this out?

Thanks

One of my biggest pet peeves in the world (call me obsessive compulsive about this) is dirty glass, glasses, or things like that.

I still don't have a solution.... GRRR.

There's even one big fluffy piece of dustbunny right smack in the middle of the radio screen, and one in the climate control screen.

The only way to keep the glass absolutely clean is to use the joystick button instead of actually touching the glass.

but uh.. how do you get dust behind the glass? It's supposed to be liquid crystal behind there.

There is a liquid crystal display but its protected by a clear plastic cover (from fingers, sharp objects, etc...)... dust gets between the LCD and the clear plastic. Some how... some way.

Ok, bringing this back because i tried to search FIRST and this is closest thing i could find to my issue if not the same. On the radio unit, there is that crystal you guys were talking about but i have dust and debris behind that cover on the actually screen of the radio. Is there anyway to get behind that or take it off at all? It REALLY bugs me and like Eric, its a pet peeve of mine!!!

I have a small spider running around inside the screen. I think that clean the dust a little bit when the spider is walking over the screen. But... sometimes the guy is just seating there blocking the screen though.

Are you serious? You have a spider behind yours??....LOL! Makes me feel better about a little dust then.....but seriously, there is no way behind that screen?? Some one has to know some how to get it off or at least get some compressed air inside of it don't they???

My car is crawling with spiders. I have spider making a web in the steeling wheel right in front of me while I am driving one time. There is spider in the side mirrors all the time. There is always a spider on the top of the wind shield hiding in between the gap. Rear license plate has one. Everywhere!!!

I get rid of those guys; but a day later, more spiders will move in.

Just don't part your car under any tree!!!

I have the dust also. I was going to use my compressor and the air nozzle and see what I can do... obviously being careful not to put 90 psi in there.

Having the same dust issue, dealer offered to replace the radio. Not a priority at the moment since I crashed the car yesterday.

I'm sorry to hear that! The dealer actually offered to replace it for you cause of the dust?? What dealer?

Ryan - i am going to try the sme thing, i just hope it works and gets most of it out! If you try it let me know how it goes and pressure you used. I still have to wait until i get my ccompressor back, getting a whole in the bottom fixed...its really old, but still works!
