Does anyone have rattles coming from overhead lights area?

For the longest time, I had a rattle that seemed to be coming from the windshield area or the sunroof. The rattle could be heard sometimes when going over bumps or when accelerating the car between 2500 and 3000 rpm at idle. Then one day I figured out that by putting pressure to the plastic area located next to the overhead dome lights near the sunvisors, the rattle would disappear.

I don't think I have heard of this rattle before on the forums. Anyone else have it or has had it??

Had it once but I'm not sure if it's the exact same spot you're describing. The dealership insulated the dome lights after taking them out. However, it does come back from time to time. I can make it go away for a few weeks by pushing my finger on the plastic where the navigation microphone is. If you're out of warranty, you may as well take that part out yourself and see if you can insulate that area. It's not too complicated. Need to pry off the map light covers and remove the screws as well as remove the hex bolts that you can see underneath the sunglasses holder when it is open. I hope you get to the bottom of it. Otherwise, definitely take it into the dealership.

that's exactly what the dealership did for me. I've had this rattle from the first couple of months. I took it to the dealer several times, but it was very intermitten problem.

one day it was loud and clear as could be and the service guy heard it.

they insulated it. it helps, but there are some days that it can be heard.

the best solution I've found, turn up the music or open the windows.

I am not sure if it's the same rattle you are talking about but mine goes away if I close moonroof shade. I guess the shade blocks out the noise.
