Dented Roof?

Has anyone noticed if their roof has dents near the sunroof? My coworker were pointing it out while checking out my tints. Either they're dents or my roof is warped.

The thing is, I've noticed these "dents" months ago but i thought they were just the way the roof was designed as I found the indentations on the same area on both sides on the corners of the sunroof. That was until today when I walked up to another TSX parked in my area and saw that the roof is clean. I can't remember if anythign has ever fallen onto my car as it's always been garaged. What can I do about this and you think Acura will fix it?

Sounds to me like the roof is dented. Try finding someone local to pop out the dents. Around here there's a shop called The Dent Wizard. They did some work a few years back on my '94 Accord and you couldn't tell it was ever damaged.

I had this exact problem with a Volvo S60. When I took delivery it was pouring rain and I noticed it the next day. When I took it back to the dealer they said it was damage from transportation - the car was tied down too tightly. They said paintless dent removal wouldn't work and they volunteered to replace the car!

When talking to the GM, he said the only other possible cause was closing a garage door on the roof but, given the nature of the dents, he ruled this out.

i'll try to take a picture of the dents. im guessing this isn't covered under warranty?

i haven't witnessed any problems with it but my only concern would be if i decided to sell/trade my car in in the future, the buyer/dealer will devalue my car as if it were my fault

Dents are easy

Dents are easy to get - our TSXs are very soft. It takes very little to twist the car, and you'll see dents or bumps on the roof around the sunroof. One option is to put the car on the frame at a body shop and straighten it out, but I'd not advise anyone except the pros for this task.

The other day I remember someone on this forum hit a curb lightly and noticed same type of problem next morning.

Lesson - be gentle.
