Damage to front bumper

Hey guys, been a while but needed some sound advice. My wife backed out the TSX and HIT the side of the garage. No idea anyway the entire front bumper is dislodged. Especially the side she hit. There is some minor damage to the actual "metal" side. Dent and large white "streak" marks. The bumper assembly seems shot. The grill is no longer secure. It is now a patch job. I put the bumper back in and used um duct tape to hold it for the time being. Its a pretty sad site

What do you think I should do? File a claim? Or get quotes from various body shops. I am willing to spend cash to fix it to avoid filing a claim. But within reason. What should i expect from the body shops? I am going to go to the dealer first and then to another shop I used a few years ago to get quotes. Suggestions, advice, comments? thanks!

Get a couple quotes from body shops, compare to your deductible, and go from there. Personally I would just pay for it myself so no chance of insurance going up.

ouch! you live and make sure you learn from this! never let the wifie touch that car again! if she complains or whines about it, just point to the fact that she just cost you (both of you) a very nice dinner for two at an upscale restaurant that you were thinking of taking her to but now cannot!
