Creaking Noises in 2006 TSX (center console)

So today i noticed the creaking noises that some people have posted about.

How many people have experienced this, and where do they seem to come from?

Mine occur while turning, not when driving straight, and they appear to come from the center console, specifically the area of the armrest. it may be my imagination, but it also seemed to be worse if i had the armrest extended, instead of it's normal position.

Anyone else have similar experience?

It's probably the same creaking on the 04-05s. Sigh, I was hoping they'd have fixed that. I think there were 2 plates behind the center console that can flex and rub each other when stressed, as may happen during a turn. Search should yield some useful information.

Are you sure it's not the windshield cowl? That was a common one.

There's also the possibility it's some pieces rubbing together underneath your sportshift.

I'm surprised there's not a stickied compilation of all known rattles and associated TSBs...

My center console creaking started after the replacement of the center stack (lights out).

I have noticed this too but it only occurs when the temperature has been over 60 or the car has been sitting in the sun in the afternoon.

Maybe the plastic shifts slightly and expands due to the heat and then the panels rub together?

Is anyone else seeing/hearing this now that the weather is getting warmer? It seems to be especially prevalent in the pieces of plastic that run from the center stack (from the radio/HVAC) down to the floor.
