Post cracks in the leather seats

In the TL discussion forum many of the owners complain about their leather seats cracking with very little miles on the cars. Do TSX owners have similar type problems with their seats?

Thanks

mine started developing cracks because I hadn't done anything to protect the leather/pleather. once I started using 303 I've had no more (new) cracks at all.

had mine for almost a year and the driver's side has some wrinkles near the door...i guess just because it's so rainy here in florida that it's constantly getting wet.

My driver seat started to wrinkle badly almost from the time that I got it. When I mentioned the unusual wear to the service department, I was told this was normal wear & tear. Then, when I heard similar complaints from fellow members, I went back to the dealer. I spoke with the service manager, whom I had previously dealt with for the instalation of my Euro-R kit. He was very helpful and advised he'd take a look at it for me. After I brought in the car the next time I had service, he let me know they would replace the seat cover for me.

LEATHER WEAR - Drivers Seat

The last two days my '04 TSX was in Delray Acura (FL) for them to look at the SEAT wear and the back seat cushion wear as well. The dealer service manager and the local district service and parts manager agreed that it was NORMAL wear on my driver's seat bottom cushion (even at only 28,000 miles). Obviously I do NOT agree! On the seat back cushion - listen to this - "LEATHER IS WORN DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUBBING WHEN ENTERING AND EXITING THE VEHICLE - REPLACED SEAT BACK COVER AS ONE TIME GOOD WILL." Needless to say I am not a happy camper. Plus I feel that is an insult as the Service Manager commented to me "because I was a very tall person." (6'1"- 230 lbs). Give me a break. The leather was worn OFF in places because it was defective and because the materials are CHEAP. I know it costs $500. bucks for them to replace the seat cushion also but I think that should have been done as well to keep a customer satisfied. Never had this problem with LEXUS! I still don't feel that HONDA/Acura has graduated to the level of "luxury" service that an Acura customer demands.

FYI - I looked at a 2005 TL in the showroom that was a "DEMO" for sale and the seat cushion bottom had MORE wear on it than mine! So much for traading up to a better model.

GOOD TIP. WILL TRY THAT AS WELL. I HAVE been using some good brand leather wipes. Maybe I need to cream it!

My 2004 TSX driver seat cracked leather covers (both parts) were replaced by dealer under warranty without question asked.
I've got a brand new leather on the driver seat, looks perfect. Took 2 days
with loaner car. Service was excellent.

Curious, where do you guys get Lexol? Is it specifically for car leather, or just leather in general? The auto parts stores I go to, as well as automotive sections of big Target like stores, I never see it. Do I have to get it at like a furniture store or a leather store?

I should check with my local Acura dealer then for Lexol then...
EDIT: by the way, my leather doesn't seem to have problems yet but like to protect it first.

I just went to a local Canadian Tire (aka Crappy Tire) and don't see any Lexol stuff... also didn't see the Mother blob remover stuff (like Langka) that someone else mentioned in another thread I started (my hood chip...)

Any user knows what automotive stores in Canada I can find Lexol and the Mother blob remover stuff? Thanks
