Well there's a strange sound coming from the engine, almost like a constant "whooo" sound. On cold start, it is kind of loud but the sound is something only I would notice since I'm still in the anal phase. As I opened the hood, it seemed to be coming from the belt area. Even after when the engine is all heated up, I can still here the engine making that sound. I don't know if this makes sense but I'm kind of worried. Can anybody chime in?

 

I am pretty sure I have the same thing you do. It almost sounds like wind noise, right?

how old is your tsx? I had mine for about a year and it's an 07 with around 5000 miles. It sounds kind of like a wind noise that goes "wooo, wooo, wooo" etc.

 

Yeah, that sounds like mine, I think.

I have an '06 with ~25K on it.

No, I doubt they will do anything. If you get it checked out and they actually fix it, let me know.

hey same thing happens to my TSX too lately. Just noticed it about 3 days ago. I have an 06 TSX with 22k miles on it. The noise comes up every time when I start the car. It seems to be coming from the belt area where the thing is spinning. Like a humming sound and rather loud. It goes away after about 5 mins of driving. I was gonna take it in to the dealer but I doubt they can reproduce the problem since by the time I drive the car to the dealership, more likely the sound is gone. So frustrating and annoying. Let me know what you find out. BTW, does your brakes squeal on you lately? mine does it from time to time but it goes away after some driving.
