Condensation in the headlights
Condensation in the headlights
On Friday night, I was on a road trip to see my friends up in STL,MO. Then I stopped by a gas station for some snacks and soda. What happen is I noticed that there is something wrong with my headlights, it looks foggy on the lens. Well then, I took a closer look and NO! there is condensation inside my driver side headlights. I was all worried about that until I called St louis Acura and told them what's the situation.
The next day, I took it to the dealer and let them to fix it. Of course it is still under warranty and they replaced the driver and the passenger side headlights ( I am surprise they changed both of them although the driver side is the one with the condensation.) After 2 hrs of waiting, headlights was replaced. Then I looked at the invoice they've changed basically the whole lighting assembly.
pair of d2s and high beam
pair of headlights
And they even help me to waxed, polished, vaccumed and also 5W-30 mobil one full syntheic oil change with new filter for FREE!!!!
I was all happy that day driving around with my 'new headlights'
Anyways, just a long story

I fully expected them to change out the headlight assembly. I didn't think they would change out both sides. And, you got the extra stuff for free too? Wow, THATS what I call customer service.

Slap a sticker over the swirls and enjoy the added HP.

Sorry to say, I had the opposite experience. My dealer is charging me
$600 for the full assembly on the passenger side. I'm at 56k miles.
Even though this is a common problem, they are not standing behind
it. I even have to wait a week for an appointment!

i had one side replaced under warranty. then when i was out of warranty i had the other side fog up on me. i just bought a tube of silicone and sealed the headlight. no problem since i've done it like 6 months ago.
One of my headlights fogged up the other day and it killed my low beams. The dealership replaced it under warranty, but I worry about what will happen once the warranty expires. I'll probably try the silicon trick as well so I don't get caught with the $600 repair bill. Yikes!
