I had mine for 700 miles and so far I noticed weird noise coming from the seat. Can anyone tell me what other common problems on 2006 TSX?

i havnt heard any noises from my seat O_o

the only known problem ive experienced so far is the fucking right windshield wiper squeaking in the rain. its so damn annoying -_-

 

Both of these items have been addressed in other threads...Search away. As far as the seat noise goes, I think I saw on a thread that is was an item that was addressed by Acura at the dealership. If I am wrong on this I apologize in advance.

 

i just thought it would be a good idea to have a sticky for common problems in all TSXs

 

i had the same problem from day 1 with my passenger side windshield wiper..it was so loud it got very annoying...i just had my 10,000 mile service done and had them replace that wiper...problem solved it's nice and quiet now...have your dealer replace that wiper blade under warranty and see if it fixes the noise...

 

I had the famous driver seat squeek as well @ around 800 mls. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it by apparently bending the track that the power seat travels along. Wasn't very comforting when it was explained, but it worked and the power seat also works just fine!

My 06 TSX (7,000 miles) went in the seat squeek too on Wednesday (6 Dec). The service rep told me the seat track is the problem and that they've ordered a replacement. He went on to say that they (the service techs) believe the track was not installed properly at the factory since they have had to do this on more than a few TSXs. (I'll just assume this defect is fairly common.)
If you want to test your seat to see if it has "The Squeek", try this: Raise the headrest, grab one of the metal posts, and then gently rock the seat from left to right a few times. If your seat squeeks easily, you probably have the problem. I did this to duplicate the problem for the service and it was effective. Happy motoring!

P.S. 7,500 miles in just under 4 months and I still jump at any excuse to drive it. I love this car!!!

No seat squeak here but that gives me energy to keep exercising. Ha. I have the wiper blade annoyance and will get that fixed as you have suggested above. Other than that, I'm riding great in my 2006 with 14,330 miles. Thanks guys!

 

<- Jumping passenger wiper. Took 6 times in, still annoying everyday~~get used to it.......dealer reported to Honda. no answer yet, will report it myself~~

 

<---Seat sqeak x4 times in dealer to fix and it got worse.

PLUS my Clutch keeps clicking and Failed on me 3x.
DONT BUY MANUALS for RSX / TSK....its known for CLICKING sounds mine was just 100X WORSE.
I claimed Lemon on my car and Honda Bought back my car !!!!
YES, My TSX is a pain in the ass.

 

I had the seat squeak as well. Fixed it myself. I don't know about the wiper noise as my 9 month old TSX has never been in the rain.. HA HA

 

I fixed the seat squeak myself using the TSB that's posted here.... ballpeen hammer and 5 minutes of time... that's about all it took... never came back...

I have the wiper too, gonna get it fixed when i'm into the dealer next...

The clutch clicking was fixed at my last service appt, they just lubed it. *shrugs - it never came back
