Only recall was for a trunk wiring adjustment. Nothing major to worry about. For the most part, people are concerned with minor things such as some squeaks and rattles, though even those vary from car to car. Again, nothing you should be too concerned about.

One thing to look out for when i had an 04 as a loaner. During hard braking or accelerating the drivers seat tends to shift forward and back. Nothing too big though. Just a few minor things that the acura has mostly resolved.

clutch squeak - lubed by dealer = fixed for me
trunk wire recall - fixed in 5 min by dealer
center console display went dim - replaced by dealer under warranty
stone chips on hood rusting almost immediately during winter.

I would agree with the FAQ advice. For what it is worth here have been my issues.

1. The elusive sliding front driver seat syndrome. There is a TSB fix for this and I will have that done soon

2. Centre console stereo unit died and was replaced under warranty - replacement units apparently have adressed a previous deisgn defect

3. That awful clunking noise from the rear trunk/rear shelf area - some have suggested WD40 will fix, other a few spot welds. I have yet to try either.

4. Rear trunk release is broken - that appears to be an uncommon one. Will have fixed under warranty.

Otherwise the car has been amazing. Much better than my 2004 POS Dodge Cummins 3500

Don't take me wrong, the TSX is a fun car to drive and has all the bells and whistles I want on a car but I've had a few too many problems with my 04 than I feel a new car should have. Here are the big ones:

- windshield vibration (fixed by me)
- Radio lights outtage (radio replaced by dealer)
- Rear bearing (replaced by dealer)
- Clutch (just after warranty and it's a 'wear part' anyway, cost a bundle)
- Warped Rotors (will be replaced by me next weekend)
- Radio static when defroster turned on (new)

Sixteen months and fifteen thousand miles and no issues whatsoever. (Knock on cyber-wood). It's a sweet marvel of engineering.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the that some 04 owners had problems with water/condensation in the headlights. I have an 04 but luckily have not run into that problem yet.

I have the driver side window noise/vibration. The dealer tech put silicone on the door seal to make it go away. I told the tech I wasn't planning on taking my car to the dealer for every oil change so he gave me a can of silicone. So far it's kept the noise away. I think it's more of a fix the symptom and not go for the cure fix, but it works so far.
