cold temps + hiphop + volume = ANGER!!
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but my car rattles like shit when playing music, especially if it's hiphop or something with bass. I'm not sure if this is happening b/c it's been near 10 degrees outside the past few mornings....but it is really, really annoying. The windows, the license plate and plate frame, the A-pillars, etc....rattle, rattle, rattle.

Its been reported here that rattles show up as the temps drop. If you add Hip Hop with bass you are only exacerbating the problem. Like Moda said, there is a TSB. You might also look into putting in sound deadening material (Dynamat, Vmax, etc.). Check the Audio & Video section for that topic.

I agree though, if you want the perfectly quiet car, look into Dynamat and the like.

Yes, get dynamat. My TSX is getting some dynamats soon. I have a 10 inch JL W7 in the trunk. No annoying rattles. But the bass sometimes sounds distorted. I am hoping the dynamat might improve the bass.

to get rid of one major annoying rattle if you have bass is to get rid of the trunk springs and replace them with gas shocks.

I'm glad that I read this thread.
My car seems like the body 'flexs' when you go over any small bumps, speed bumps, sewers now that it is cold. I had been experiencing the front A-pillar rattle but then it got cold here and now it's rattle-time!
I have the A-pillar rattle, a rear rattle, the body flex and even some 'tingy' sound coming from the trunk area. I didn't know if it was just my car or my imagination but thanks to this thread I know that others are having the problem in the cold.
I hate the cold.
