Unhappy Climate Control keeps turning on by itself!!

Hi, after I brought my car to the body shop to have my 2 doors repainted, they were kindly enough to wash my car. Even the interior but the problem begins here. I have no idea what rag they were using for my centre console so the radio screen looked like there was a layer of film there. So I took it back and told them to clean it. After it was cleaned I saw a few hair scratches on the screen so I told them to buff it off. Now here's the problem, when I got my car back today, they buffed the screen AND the climate control screen. Now the "AUTO" botton is extra shiny but what really pisses me off is that the climate control would keep turing on by itself every so often. I would have to keep hitting the "OFF" button. Some times it would even turn on right when I start the ignition. Does anyone know why is this happening? And does anyone know if the centre console part would be hard to remove since there are shit loads of dust and buffing compound under my screen! :o

This is really pissing me off cause not only they created a problem that never occured, but it's adding more. Screens still has scratches and dust under the screen. *sigh*
Help me please...Thanks!!

Removing the Center console will probably take you about an hour(or more) and you will remove almost everything from your cupholders up to your upper vents...

Installation for a IVES, but it will explain how to remove your center console...

It's not hard at all. You can do it in 10-20 minutes. Just be very careful not to scratch anything, especially the plastic in the center console. And have the radio code handy because it will reset the stereo.

Here's what to avoid doing:
