CEL on now...what to check for?

With a Hondata reflash, K&N Typhoon, CT-header, RT cat, and Tanabe SMT installed. What could be the problem causing the CEL light to remain on?

Use an OBDII code reader to read the code.

Any OBDII scan tool should do the job. Typically you can barrow one at the local chain auto parts stores. Then post the code up here or search the web to see what it means.

Most likely it's due to the RT Cat. I should be getting mine in about a week and I'm going to install a CEL elliminator on mine just to be safe.

A simple anti-fouler will fix the issue if it is the cat. I'm running one now.

I removed the CEL by disconnecting the neg battery terminal. After which I purchased a nice Innova 1003 CEL tool. Connecting found no stored DTCs, and the TSX feels really full of piss n' vinegar since clearing the light; meaning I'll wait until the next CEL light to come on, and worry about it then. Bethany Beach, here I come.

^^ Did you use the code reader first or did you remove the CEL first? In either case, if its a persistant problem then the CEL should reappear. Read the code first before clearing it otherwise you won't know where to start your troubleshooting.

Just in case you need one, there's one on Rt. 22 near Whitehouse and another one just south of the Somerville Circle on Rt. 206.

Right, jlukja. I used the code reader first. The 'EV' test, on the code reader didn't complete after nearly 10 minutes of connection (amber light on code reader display). I then disconnected the neg terminal for 10 minutes, or so. The CEL light, of course, disappeared. I retested, and no DTCs came up, or were stored in memory (green light on display). And I would assume the CEL will pop-up again for me to test.

Thanks, LMTSX. There is one in plainfield, pretty close. I ended-up buying a code-reader at Sears. Autozone, on the phone, had no idea what a 'defouler' was, when I asked.

And you'll need to drill it out a little with a 1/2" drill bit to accomodate the O2 sensor's tip.
