Unhappy CD Changer skipping

I've recently been having problems with my CD Changer skipping. It seems to happen sporadically, but when it does occur I can't play any cd's, (CD-R or regular CD's) in any of the slots. Has anyone had a similar problem? I've even tried using of of those CD lens cleaner CD's but that didn't clear it up. Just wanna see if this is affecting any other people.

The stock changer is supposed to be a little flaky with burnt discs, but you're getting skipping with regular ones, too??

Might be time for a visit to the dealer...

Yup, happens with any CD, be it CD-R or regular audio CD's. Hope I don't have gremlins in my deck :sqnteek:

Is there any fix for this? I too have the "flaky" CD player.

I do not have any issues with any type of CD, purchased or burned.

My advice, replicate in front of the service dept. with a purchased CD, then have them replace it!!

I'm taking it in tomorrow to get checked. The thing is, it's one of those things that doesn't happen all the time, so it's hard to duplicate then and there at the service department. However, when it does happen you can't play ANY cd's. We'll see how it goes.

Results from dealer:

1) CD Changer skipping - Ordered replacement

2) Rattles in door panels - Insulated panels

3) Headlight condensation - Ordered headlight replacement

Hopefully these problems are fixed permanently. Only time will tell.
