Car goes under the knife for rattles today...
Car has 12,XXX miles on it, so I figured while I have the oil changed (last one was 7500), why not have them try and fix the windshield rattles and the door panel rattles. We will see what they can accomplish. Dealer is Acura of Athens (GA), and they are also a Volvo dealer, which explains why I got a Volvo V70 (Wagon ) as a loaner. I am 22, btw, and they gave me no problems when I said I wanted one...called Monday, appointment Wednesday. I will report back on their success or failure when I get the car back.

Rattling Problem
Oh yeah, there is a fix coming out...I'm taking my car in tomorrow for the problem at Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I'll see what they say about this new fix.
Hope there is a solution b/c this is getting on my nerves...I'm starting to think I should've gotten a Volvo S40 T5.

hmm...too late...well, in a few weeks I will be in a different area (moving) and I may not have a conveniently located dealer (almost across the street from my place) who gives loaners to people who didn't buy their car from them....so I figured I'd give it a shot. Worst comes to worst, they slap some silicon on it as a quick fix, and in 2 or 3 weeks when it wears off, I take it to a different dealer.

I took my car in this morning for rattling and guess what....the thing didn't even rattle once on the way over to the dealership and it's sitting there now and the technicians can make it rattle....
I'm so upset because the rattling is driving me crazy and the day it needs to rattle it doesn't. Go Figure!!!
I guess the car knows I'm talking about it.
I guess I will have to bring the car back once it starts back rattling which will probably be tomorrow.
Crazy!!!

Well, for the first several thousand miles, I didnt have any rattles, but now I do. There is one somewhere in the moonroof, one near the passenger door and occasionaly the windshield.
Im going to take mine in soon, but I guess I'll wait for the offical fix.

They fixed my windshield rattle so far....said something about it coming off the "studs" down in the dash....maybe the y-clippy things? I think the door panel rattling is from the speakers...it only happens when I play loud, bass-heavy music, so that's not necessarily their fault. Hope the no-windshield rattle thing lasts.
