A/C sometimes not working...

Recently I noticed my A/C pump sometimes not working. Usually after a short drive it starts to work again. Then again this morning I could hear it work immediatly after starting the engine. Having it checked out by the dealer later this week. Anybody else experience this ?

Next to that my clutch pedal started to squeek a bit... Guess a bit of grease will fix that...

When using your A/C are you using Auto climate control or the manual fan speed settings?

Mine is plain not working. It has a leak in the compressor, and now the whole system is depressurized. I'm waiting for the replacement parts to be available.

I guess we can all look forward to AC failure at 130,000 km's.

Still, it's not normal. AC wear is counted in terms of time of service, and mine hasn't lasted for 2 summers, Not good.

Almost always manual fan speed... Auto climate seems to make no difference though...

It's what I'm working on. So far, Acura has agreed to take the compressor at their charge.

Most of the A/C problems on this forum describe leaking compressors or punctured condensors as the cause for A/C not working. Sounds like you may have a defective compressor, b/c you A/C is working on and off. I'm gonna search some more on this problem.

If you take her in let us know what the dealer says.

Came across this thread and it mentions how the A/C automatically shuts off when in WOT, not sure if it applies to you:
