A/C Drop Out while Accelerating

I have had my TSX for about 4 months now and have noticed a drop out of A/C cooling while accelerating. This does not happen all the time and at about 2,000RPM to 3,000RPM.
Some times higher.
It's very noticeable to me on a hot day and I'm conserned about it. Took my car in to have the dealer check it out and they said there was nothing wrong.
Their explaination was it is normal due to the high horse power and the small engine size. Specificly they said to get the full horsepower responce the A/C will have "small" drop outs when accelerating.
Does everyone experience this problem?

The A/C compressor has a clutch to disengage it under heavy acceleration. Sounds normal to me.

Exactly. The A/C causes parasitic loss of power. So if you are flooring it, it'll shut off the AC so you are getting full power.

On other 4 cylinder cars (camry & accord) when going up hill, and when I would shut the A/C off during an ascent I would feel a slight increase in power while keeping the gas pedal in the same position.

I only notice this when flooring it, and the change in air coming out of the vents lasts for maybe 5 seconds, if that.

Far out. Has this been a standard thing for a while? Is it a rice-engineering thing? My past V8s had no such thing. Might have been nice.

Well, it sounds like it is normal, but I am not putting the pedal to the metal!
Just will have to live with it.
Love the car and this is the only hickup.
