just press either the auto button, or the circulation button, and set the temp cold enough. that's it.

Sorry 06 non-navi when I press the auto button, the auto light on the drivers’ side comes on, but not the passengers neither does full light.

I don't believe there is an auto button on the passenger side. The passenger side light goes on when the "dual" function is engaged (i.e. the passenger selects a different temperature setting than the driver). Sorry, I'm going from memory and I have an 04, Non-Navi. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Full is not split, it's the same on both sides of the cabin and driver temperature dictates overall temperature, IIRC.

thats normal, the dual climate control only applies for the temperature of the air. The actual air velocity is controlled only by the driver, even during dual mode. What you are seeing is completely normal, it should only say auto on the drivers side climate control.

Semi-related question - if in either full 'Auto' or Auto but non-AC mode, is there any way to have the fan speed, which ventilation mode, etc. is operating? So far the only way I've found to see them is to go into Manual mode, which sort of defeats the purpose. I've had other cars with digital automatic climate that still allow you to see what exactly it's doing.

Possibly a feature that was never implemented by Honda.
A generic OEM LED module which Honda's AC setup had no need for the other Auto lumination.
That or it switches to the unused on on right hand drive cars, so Auto is always lit on the driver's side of the cabin.

Who knows?

The A/C system works like this. If you put it on "Auto" it will control everything. Once you make some other adjustment it will control everything except for the item you adjusted. So, for instance, if you go to "Auto" and then hit the "A/C" button it will turn off the A/C but continue to adjust the fan speed, select recirc/fresh, and select the vents automatically. The "Auto" indicator will turn off but everything that you didn't set manually will still be automatically controlled.
